Saúl Villegas Sojo

Saúl is managing partner of the firm since November 2014. He is originally from Veracruz, Mexico. He obtained his law degree in June 2003 from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Monterrey Campus.
His main areas of practice are foreign investment, general corporate representation and the drafting and negotiation of all types of commercial agreements. He is experienced in real estate transactions, providing corporate secretary services, corporate legal planning and advice on intellectual property matters.
Prior to joining RC in 2005, Saúl worked for J.A. Treviño Abogados and was formerly an intern at the Software and Information Industry Association in Washington, D.C. from August through December 2002, where he worked as assistant of the Director of Corporate Anti-Piracy.
He attended the seminar “How to do Business with the USA”, at the Mexican Embassy in Washington D.C. In addition, he attended the course “Introduction to the Securities Market”, offered by the Mexican Stock Exchange and has participated in numerous conferences and seminars involving corporate and securities topics. He is an active mentor of the Enlace E+E Program sponsored by the Monterrey Tec.

Juan Pablo Raigosa Treviño (In Leave of Absence)

Juan Pablo Raigosa Treviño was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico. He obtained his law degree from the Monterrey Campus of the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in 1995. His practice brings together in-house and private practice experience in Mexico and the United States.
Juan Pablo has handled complex business transactions, including divestitures, asset and stock acquisitions and corporate restructurings, as well as significant multi-national joint venture structurings involving numerous jurisdictions. He has significant experience in the drafting and negotiation of shareholder agreements and other types of corporate governing documents.
Juan Pablo has been involved in the drafting, review and negotiation of a variety of agreements, including financial contracts. Furthermore, he has led legal due diligence efforts in significant transactions in Mexico and abroad, and has provided counsel in the corporate restructuring of Mexican and US companies.
Although his practice has been focused on a wide range of corporate matters, he has also coordinated and directly participated in a number of US-based litigation and arbitration claims. He has additionally been involved in numerous infrastructure and real estate projects, as well as bidding processes with PEMEX and the CFE.
To reinforce his professional experience, Juan Pablo has participated in a variety of seminars, courses, institutes, symposia and conferences addressing diverse topics related to his practice. Among the most noteworthy are the “Negotiation and Decision Making Strategies for Managers Program” at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in May 1999, and the “International Arbitration Practice Workshop” held in Paris, France in February 1998 at the International Chamber of Commerce.
Juan Pablo acted as an English/Spanish expert translator appointed by the Supreme Court of the State of Nuevo Leon since 1993 and until November 2014.
Prior to founding Raigosa Consultores in January 2005, Juan Pablo worked as associate in the law firms of J.A. Treviño Abogados in Monterrey, Mexico, and Bracewell & Giuliani in Houston, Texas. He has also served as in-house corporate counsel for Grupo IMSA, Abaco Grupo Financiero, and Rodman & Renshaw, this last company based in Chicago, Illinois.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, International Bar Association, US- Mexico Bar Association as well as the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity. He is a founding member of Fundación Legal Mexicana, A.C, and participates as director in a number of company boards of directors as well as in the Consulting Committee of the Economics and Law Division of the Monterrey Tec. He is a member of the Water Law Committee of the International Bar Association and more recently was appointed to the board of directors of the US-Mexico Bar Association.
He is currently Judiciary Commissioner of the State of Nuevo Leon, appointed by the Congress of said State.

Elena García Beltrán

Elena was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She obtained her law degree from the Monterrey Campus of the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in 2008.
During her studies she worked at the Notary Public Office 126 and was an exchange student at the Universita Commerciale Luigi Bocconi, in Milan, Italy, from January through July, 2007. She also was elected as member of the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity and has participated as a participant and collaborator in several annual symposia organized by the student council of the ITESM Law School.
Her practice is focused in commercial agreements, industrial property and general corporate law and has broad experienced advising foreign clients doing business in Mexico.
She taught the subject of International Private Law at the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon from January through December, 2009. Currently she is studying her master in corporate law at the Universidad de Monterrey and is an English/Spanish expert translator appointed by the Supreme Court of the State of Nuevo Leon.
She is fluent in English, and speaks conversational French and Italian.

Patricio Fajardo

Patricio was born in Cuernavaca, Morelos, México. He obtained his law degree from the Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey in December 2012.
In 2010 he was an active member of the organizing committee of Global Legal Skills, an event that gathers universities from all around the globe. Nowadays, he continues with his social service at the International Association of Law Schools.
Patricio entered the professional practice as a volunteer in some Public Services Agencies, and has experience in civil and commercial litigation.
His practice is focused in corporate secretary matters, agreements in general, as well as foreign investments.
He is fluent in English and has basic knowledge of French.

Mariana de Alba Saleh

Mariana was born in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico. In 2010, she obtained her law degree from the Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey.
Mariana heads RC's intellectual property practice, which is focused on matters involving trademarks and copyrights. These include among others, the search and analysis of existing registrations, renewals, licenses, assignments, changes of beneficiary or address, and managing the trademark portfolio of our clients.
She also provides advice on cease and desist notifications and coordinated diverse administrative filings before the Mexican Industrial Property Institute (IMPI) and has also been involved in the registration of copyrights before the National Institute of Copyrights (INDAUTOR), mainly regarding computer software.
She has participated in intellectual property courses offered by the World Intellectual Property Organization and corporate law courses offered by the International Law Institute.
